About the Post O’Alls and Engineered Garments Collaborations
We don’t know many other small brands that have had the fortune to get their start with the support of such Manhattan Garment District giants as Takeshi Ohfuchi of Post O'alls and Daiki Suzuki of Engineered Garments.
The magic Takeshi does with workwear has fundamentally informed our approach to sportswear and outdoor gear. The way he coaxes form from function and creates surprises in details has been instrumental in the way we have chosen to construct Battenwear.
And of course it was Daiki who gave us our start in the industry, hiring Shinya to be his right hand man for the Woolrich Woolen Mills project and teaching him how to design. Everything that we do, from hand-drawing designs to attention in sourcing is thanks to Daiki’s tutelage.
For our 10th Anniversary collection, we asked Takeshi to make two Post O’alls items in the style and fabrics of Battenwear . . . and we asked Daiki to let us make two Battenwear items that he re-imagined in the style of Engineered Garments using EG fabrics.
There’s nothing quite like seeing your own creation through someone else’s eyes, especially those of our role models. We thank Takeshi and Daiki for taking the time to help us celebrate with these collaborations.
Both collaborations are limited release
