Job Title: Fashion Brand Operations Manager

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Job Type: Part-time to start

Start Date: Late summer/early fall 2024

Job Summary

Battenwear is establishing a new office in Tokyo, Japan, and we're seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager. This role is crucial for building and expanding our logistics operations hub in Japan and supporting both domestic and international business relationships. As a key player in our small team, you will be instrumental in the next chapter in Battenwear’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with suppliers, factories, and warehouses to secure and maintain inventory of raw goods and finished products.

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage operational budgets, invoice and purchase order execution, ensuring cost-effective operations.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and partner company policies. Stay informed about import/export and international trade developments relevant to the garment industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the garment or related industry with significant independent and supervisory responsibilities

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Proficiency in operational management software and tools, including Excel

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

• Fluency in Japanese; advanced proficiency in English

• Must be a self-starter capable of identifying and asking the right questions

コンプライアンス: 業界規制およびパートナー企業の方針に従う為、衣料業界に関連する輸出入および国際貿易の動向について最新情報を維持する。例えば、輸出の際の通関へ提出する書類など。

資格

経験: 衣料業界または関連分野で最低5年以上の経験を持ち、管理業務の経験が豊富な方。
スキル:

優れた問題解決能力と意思決定能力。
Excelを含む運営管理ソフトウェアおよびツールに精通していること。
強力な分析および戦略的思考能力。
日本語に流暢であり、英語も上級レベル (完璧な流暢さは不要)。

属性: 自発的に行動でき、適切な質問を見つけ出す能力があること。
