The “father” archetype is as old as time. Man begets child and must figure out how to shoulder newfound responsibility.

Father is like a fingerprint; everyone, even twins, has their very own. Father is his own person, but he is also what we remember of him. Father is a deep root in the soil of our past.

Most of all, “father” can be defined by this: the harder he works for his family and the deeper he loves us, the more he becomes our punching bag.

We know, for most of the year, we don’t show you much sympathy, Dad. But with Father’s Day on the way, we have a good excuse to buy you something or take you out to a meal. You are our shoulder to cry on, a boot to our lazy butt, the silence to our noise, and the noise to our silence.
